Essay

The thesis contains the results of comprehensive research nanocomposite films based on synthetic polymers with embedded semiconductor nanocrystals CdS and other metal sulfides. It was developed the effective and feasible methods for in situ synthesis of CdS NCs in the polymer films of different structure (namely continuous, nanosegregated "mosaic", and cross-linked) deposited on the surface of glass substrates. It was found that the structure of the organic matrix affects the size, size distribution and distribution uniformity of the NC obtained. NCs with the smallest average size were obtained in a cross-linked matrix, while the largest - in continuous matrix, where NCs were distributed unevenly because of partial crystallization of this matrix. Under the limited growth conditions the NCs formed are characterized mainly by bimodal size distribution in the range of 2,5-6,0 nm and their ratio is determined by the nature of the organic matrix.
