Essay

The dissertation is the first complex study of entomophagous herbaceous vegetation aphids in central steppes of Ukraine, their species composition, features of ecology, biology and distribution. 63 species of predatory insects and 52 of parasitic insects were found in the research region; they involved 3 species found for the first time in the fauna of Ukraine and 9 species - for the first time in this region. The affinity of predatory aphidophagous to specific biotopes was studied for the first time; the role of ruderal vegetation and grasses in increasing the number of predators and parasites and their migration in agrocenosis was established.
