Object - the healing process of clean and infected wounds of organ of vision; goal - improving the efficiency of prevention, treatment of post-operative and post-traumatic inflammatory complications in eye microsurgery by imparting antimicrobial suture materials abilities; methods - microbiological, ophthalmological, histomorphological, mathematical and statistical; results - the data on etiological structure, sensitivity to antibiotics of pathogens of inflammatory diseases of the anterior segment and the auxiliary apparatus of the eye was refined; nylon and polyglycolide sutures, impregnated with antimicrobial composition, were proved to retard the growth of museum, clinical isolates S. aureus, E. coli, P. aureginosa, C. albicans; for the first time in vivo positive impact of nylon with antimi-crobial coating in clean, infected corneascleral wounds and infected eyelids’ wounds of test animals was proved; histomorfology of tissues at the suturing site was studied; the stability and the duration of the antimicrobial ophthalmic sutures’ antimicrobial properties were studied during laundering in a saline solution and their long-term storage; branch – medicine.
