Burdeina O. Lingual, cognitive and pragmatic parameters of the key concept of the British linguoculture INSULARITY

British mentality has been confirmed to actualize in the means of English language units of the key linguocultural concept INSULARITY. The basic theoretical principles of the key concept verbalization peculiarities manifestated by nominative units have been described. The notion of the linguocultural concept and its main structural components have been specified. The description of the constituent hierarchy of the LC INSULARITY and the word-formation patterns of the nominative units as well as lingual, pragmatic and cognitive characteristics has been represented. The frame structures as means of conceptual organization display of the knowledge have been modelled in the course of frame analysis of the nominative lexis. Lingual, cognitive and pragmatic features have been examined in the insights of semiology, cognitive linguistics and linguocultural studies.
