In the dissertation work there is the study of metabolic disorders in toddlers with PEM with hypoxic-ischemic injury of the central nervous system on the basis of determination data of protein, lipid and car-bohydrate metabolism and their correction. We determined risk factors of PEM in toddlers with hypoxic-ischemic of the central nervous system. Violation of protein metabolism in toddlers with PEM on the back-ground of hypoxic-ischemic injury of the central nervous system manifested reliable significant increase in the content of а-1-antytpypsyn content and reduced IGF-1 in blood serum. Lipid metabolism in toddlers with PEM on the background of hypoxic-ischemic injury lipid abnormalities found that children with PEM in the background hypoxic-ischemic injury of the central nervous system was characterized by changes of lip-idohramy due to hypochoesterolemia, hipotryhlitserydemiа and hipolipidemiа which depended on the severity of the disease. In toddlers with protein-energy malnutrition on the background of hypoxic-ischemic injury of the central nervous system significant increase in cortisol in blood serum was observed. Violation of carbohydrate metabolism was manifested with decrease of serum glucose and insulin levels.Based on the results of the research we propose metabolic drug L-carnitine to be the included in complex therapy PEM toddlers with hypoxic-ischemic injury of the central nervous system.
