The thesis is devoted to the investigation of the notion and peculiarities of special pensions as well as the problems of their legislative regulation in Ukraine. The author defines the notion of special pension security and its position in the system of pension security. The special term of service is considered to be the main condition of this security. It is defined as the legislatively set term of employment of a person working in the special conditions.
