The thesis reveals the main features and characteristics of the split in modern Ukraine - between the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) and Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Kiev Patriarchate)(UOC-KP). Schism in Ukrainian Orthodoxy is associated with both external and internal factors - the global economic crisis; political and socio-cultural changes in the Ukrainian society; influences of other countries - political and religious. Revealed the importance of the research process in the Orthodox world in the first decade of the twenty-first century interconnectivity in the dynamics of orthodoxy from the time of its occurrence and distribution in the territory of, the content disclosed fullness of Christian (Orthodox) dogma, modern interpretations of some of them. Orthodox religion is a major component of the Ukrainian society; it has great impact on the socio-political and cultural life. Opened sociocultural policy UOC and UOC-KP, their activities in the education of young people and youth, bioethics, help alcohol and drug addicts and others; certain political interests of the two churches.
