Essay

The thesis is devoted to the search and grounds of genre and style fundamentals of professional cimbalom music in Ukraine in the system of academic folk instrumental art. Systematic analysis of Ukrainian cimbalom field at the present stage has been done. Outstanding examples of the basic genres in cimbalom music have been analyzed, their functional peculiarity at the present stage has been found and the classification of genre system in cimbalom art has been done. The main style trends in performance on Shundi cimbalom in the world and in Ukraine are defined.
