Research object: various forms and methods of pedigree selection of parental couples on factory stock of Ukrainian black-and-white dairy breed. Purpose of research: study the effectiveness of the forms and methods of pedigree selection couples in the factory stock of Ukrainian black-and-white dairy breed. Research methods: zootechnical, morpho-physiological, biological, biochemical, chemical, and statistical variation. Scientific Urgency: for the first time in a northern Polissya processed and interpreted results biometric processing economically useful traits of cows firstborn Ukrainian black-and-white dairy breed that resulting from the selection of breeding pairs largest selection index, and the data on the combinations varied selection index - homogeneous (worsen, improving) and heterogeneous (for a better father, a better mother) selection. Established that unrelated dilution is not always the best option for improving the productive qualities of animals. Three types of heterogeneous selection productivity of female ancestors (sows, bulls): moderately heterogeneous, heterogeneous and highly heterogeneous set the degree of heterogeneity of selection and its impact on performance of increase milk production. Stage of implementation: results of the study implemented in breeding Ukrainian black and white dairy breed of private agricultural company "Yerchyky" of Zhytomyr region.
