Dissertation is devoted to research and development of new methods for the synthesis of thiopyrano[2,3-d][1,3]thiazol-2-ones and their analogues using domino Knoevenagel-hetero-Diels-Alder approach and related processes. The scope of application of domino reactions between substituted salicylaldehydes and methylene active compounds is studied out and expanded. For the first time undescribed three-step Knoevenagel-hetero-Diels-Alder-oxidation reaction and four-step domino Knoevenagel-hetero-Diels-Alder-elimination-oxidation reactions are discovered and reported.
