Paratsii O. Implantable cardioverter - defibrillators for treatment of life life-threatening arrhythmias

This work is devoted to the analysis of different methods of implantation and testing of implantable cardioverter - defibrillators. In this work we have analyzed and evaluates the effectiveness of algorithms of anti-tachyarrhythmia stimulation and discrimination of different types of anti-arrhythmias implanted systems. Also we have analyzed the background for development of surgical and non surgical complications of this type of therapy. One aspect of the work was to study the mortality, physical and mental health of patients before and in the remote period after device implantation. The material for analysis were 103 surgical interventions, including 86 primary implantations and 17 replacement of ICD. Study group contained 86 patients who were treated in the department of surgical treatment of complex cardiac arrhythmias with X-ray lab of Amosov's NICVS of AMS of Ukraine in period from 01.01.1998 to 01.01.2012 years. In result of study, important conclusions that became the basis for the actual practical recommendations, have been formulated.
