Korobka T. Communicational aspects of choral singing (by the example of the activity Academic Choir named after P. Maiboroda National Radio Company of Ukraine)

The dissertation reveals the specific musical communication in choral singing, including differentiated concept of subject, object and communication channel, defines their role in the transmission of artistic media. Specification of the provisions of this theoretical approach in historical dynamics conducted by the coverage of the Academic Choir named after P. Maiboroda of National Radio Company of Ukraine in the communication aspect. On the basis of archival documents, audio, video and other sources, the history of the Academic Choir named after P. Maiboroda was reconstructed in details. Various relationships within the team of a chorus and with external actors were analyzed, as well as repertoire and personnel policies were studied. Special attention was given to the role of conductors' communication, etc. The essence of communication in choral performance, transformation of objects and subjects of musical communication based on their dependence on communication channels as well as specific historical circumstances were revealed through the analysis of music performed. The ways of optimizing choral performance in the new socio-cultural realities and strengthen its communication capabilities with the rapid progress in information technology are revealed.
