Essay

Object of research: a chemical burn of the cornea. Objective: To improve the effectiveness of drug treatment of severe eye burns based on the correction of protein and carbohydrate metabolism in the cornea, the stabilization of redox processes at the local and systemic levels in the application of the new method antihypoxic systemic therapy. Research Methods: oftolmoskopiya, biomicroscopy, flyuorestsennovaya sample plane geometry; biochemical methods, statistical; spectrophotometers SF-26, Specol 210 slit lamp. Supplemented scientific evidence of suppression of protein and carbohydrate metabolism in a heavier alkali burn, reflecting in reducing the content of hydroxyproline in the cornea, the amine nitrogen, glucose-6-phosphate and ATP at 7 days after burn. Refined scientific data showing the increasing processes of anaerobic glycolysis in severe caustic burns at the local and systemic levels, confirms the identification of increasing content in the cornea lactate, pyruvate, lactate dehydrogenase increased activity in the chamber moisture and serum. Expanded scientific data on the impact of the new method corrects antihypoxic therapy on the state of the protein and carbohydrate metabolism and anaerobic glycolysis. The main provisions of the work included in the program of lectures and practical training of graduate students and clinical residents "The Filatov Institute of Eye Diseases and Tissue Therapy NAMS of Ukraine".
