The theoretical provisions and practical recommendations on investigation of cell phones thefts have been developed in the thesis based on the performed research work. The addressed tasks: the criminalistic characteristic of this category of crimes has been defined; the patters of cell phones theft commission have been determined; the circumstances of time and place of crime commission have been defined; the investigative situation has been disclosed; personality of the offender and the aggrieved person have been characterized; the procedure for entries making on cell phones theft to the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations has been considered; the typical investigative situations of the initial and following phases of investigation have been highlighted
