The thesis provides a systematic study of the problems of economic security of pharmaceutical companies during their interaction with the actors of the competitive environment in the increasingly openness pharmaceutical market of Ukraine and its import dependence. Overview of scientific approaches to understanding the nature and characteristics of economic security of companies is given and the structure of the system of economic security is defined. Overview of modern trends in the competitive environment and their impact on economic security provided. Main threats to the economic security of Ukrainian pharmaceutical companies arising from national competitive environment characterized. A diagnosis of economic security, including market security of national pharmaceutical manufacturers and the main directions for providing economic security for businesses with high, medium and low levels of market security in their interaction with actors of competitive environment. The analysis of methods of economic security management of pharmaceutical enterprises at national, sectoral and corporate level has been determined. The algorithm of attracting foreign investment in R & D and production by domestic pharmaceutical companies with the creation of international corporate structures has been discovered. Approaches for improvement of information and analytical support and complex of organizational and economic measures for improvement of economic security on the basis of regular use of techniques aimed at stimulation of production, marketing, financial, investment and innovation based on the actual state of the economic security of pharmaceutical companies has been proposed.
