The thesis presents a comprehensive and systematic study of administrative and legal regulation of hydrometeorological activity in Ukraine. The concept and specific hydrometeorological activity revealed a system of principles and directions of hydrometeorological activity. Solved powers and competences of public authorities hydro-meteorological activities. It was shown content methods of administrative and legal regulation of hydrometeorological activity. Analyzed international experience in administrative and legal regulation of hydrometeorological and prospects of administrative and legal regulation of hydrometeorological activity. The conclusions and proposals formulated to improve the administrative and legal regulation of hydrometeorological activity in Ukraine.
