Essay

This thesis deals with determination of criteria for the effect of relativistic electron beam energy spread on the processes taking place in radiation-processing facilities to choice the electron beam parameters providing the optimum spatial absorbed dose distribution in the objects under irradiation. Basing on the calculation results it has been found that the instability, arising in the relativistic beam system, leads to the beam energy spread value increasing at the drift gap exit. The program package RT-Office has been used to describe the absorbed dose distributions after one-sided and two-sided target irradiation for the different-model type function of electron energy distribution in the relativistic beam are obtained. The dependence of the absorbed dose distribution on the electron energy spread in the relativistic beam is determined.
