The thesis deals with the theoretical basis and methodological support for the formation and perfection of the management mechanism of sustainable development of industrial enterprises and service industries. In the work it was revealed the economic essence of sustainable development as an economic category, especially management of industrial enterprises and service industries in the context of sustainable development and methodological approaches to evaluating the effectiveness of the management mechanism of sustainable development. It was studied the trends in the industrial market and services, classified challenges to their sustainable development. It was revealed the high dependence of the enterprises of the studied industries from the effects of the influence of external and internal factors.
