The object of the thesis - Polish, Russian and Ukrainian historiographies of the middle of 18th - the middle of 20th centuries. The goal of the thesis - studying the historiographical tradition of the middle of 18th - the middle of 20th centuries of the princes Vyshnevetsky family. Methods: analysis and synthesis, classification, periodization, comparative-historical, problem and chronological, biographical, historical and genetic, critical. The systematic research of Polish, Russian and Ukrainian scientists' works of the family of Vyshnevetski's history is realized; the division of the family' historiography into periods is propounded; the comprehensive historiographical analysis of scientific quetions connected with different aspects of the activities of Vyshnevetski 's family members is carried out; scientific researches of the last family members' role in the political history of Central Eastern Europe in the first part of 18th century are examined.
