Essay

The dissertation is devoted to development of therapeutic principles and diagnostic criteria for depressions in male patients on the base of investigations of clinical-psychopathological and pathopsychological peculiarities of formations of these depressions. The study resulted in a determination of etiopathogenic factors of formation of depressions in male patients including: a hereditary load with affective pathologies (21.4 %; р<0.05) and alcoholic dependence (15.4 %; р<0.01); pathologies of pregnancy and delivery (31.6 %); an upbringing by one parent (23.1 %; р<0.05); a chronic influence of psychogenic factors (70.9 %; р<0.01) due to threat or loss of a social status (37.6 %; р<0.01), loneliness, an unsatisfied need of love (31.6 %), retirement (23,1 %; р<0,05), sexual problems (22.2 %), and unemployment (21.4 %; р<0.01). The systematic analysis of clinical-psychopathological and pathopsychological mechanisms of formation of depressions in male patients allowed us to work out and implement the program of therapy of depressions in male patients which was based on principles of a gender-specific, differentiated and individual approach, integrity and staging of the treatment. The developed program provides an individualization and personification of the care. Results of approbation of the developed program for therapy of depressive disorders in male patients indicates its high efficiency (in 72.3 % recovery, in 7.7 % lack of dynamics, and in 7.7 % worsening of the conditions were registered). Patients from the control group had significantly less expressed positive dynamics of the mental status. A catamnesis studies during 2 years have confirmed a stability of the effect attained.
