Essay

The dissertation is devoted to development of new route to the synthesis of 4-trifluoromethyl substituted 2-oxo-1,2-dihydropyrimidine-5-carboxylates. The various exo- and endofunctionalized derivatives of 4-trifluoromethylpyrimidines with stereogenic carbon atom have been obtained. Correlations have been established between regio- and enantioselectivity of investigated addition of C-nucleophiles and heterocyclic substrate structure, catalyst nature and reaction conditions. This knowledge opened a convenient way to purposeful synthesis of enantiomerically enriched products.
