Object - instrumentation and control systems;Aim - development of information technology based on architecture and technology diversity and diversity assessment method that allows to ensure required functional safety during design of new systems;Methods - graphs and sets theory, metric analysis, reliability theory, probability theory, algorithm theory, optimization theory, object-oriented analysis;Results - applied informational technology provides functional safety of instrumentation and control system with architecture and technological diversity; Novelty: Model of architecture-technological diversity of information and control systems that is based on set-theoretic description of used version redundancy represented as multilevel digraph, was obtained for the first time. This allows to systematize set of decisions made to ensure functional safety by choosing diversity types; Method of information and control systems diversity assessment based on calculation of diversity normed metrics by direct and indirect indicators was improved, that allows to assess functional safety and ensure its given level; Information technology of multi-version information and control systems functional safety assurance based on generation of version set with given diversity, reliability and cost indicators obtained further progression, that allows to justify rational solutions during creation of new systems and modernization of existing ones;Implementation: at Research and Production Corporation Radiy, Kirovograd, Ukraine; at educational process of National Aerospace University named after N.E.
