The thesis is devoted to improve the efficiency of diagnosis and treatment of dentoalveolar anomalies involving retention of canines through the optimization of existing diagnostic algorithms and methods of treatment, including the use of appliances of own design. A comprehensive examination and treatment of 54 patients aged 9-38 years, with one- and two-sided canine impaction was provided. Clinical studies have shown that the etiological factors of retention are: macro- and microdentia of incisors, tooth size disparity, narrowing and shortening of the dental arch. Based on regression analysis, a mathematical model for predicting the location of impacted canines based on the width and length of dentition have been written. With the cone-beam computed tomography at the speed of intraosseous move impacted canines during their orthodontic hatching rate of processes of de- and remineralization of hard tissues surrounding the teeth as a result of pressure from the elimination of impacted canines. Spotted normalization reduced the amplitude of the maximum reduction of masticatory muscles, the disappearance of pathological activity in patients with canine retention after the restoration of a functional occlusion. Proposed traction apparatus of palatally impacted canines, algorithm of diagnostics optimizes and facilitates work of orthodontist with the software of cone beam computed tomography, algorithm for the diagnosis and treatment of canine retention allow more effective diagnosis, treatment and recovery of physiological balance of dental system in the complex rehabilitation of patients with retention of canines.
