The thesis presents a comprehensive historical and political analysis of the formation of political subjectness of Ruthenian sub-ethnic group in the political system of Ukraine. The methodological approaches were analyzed and methodology of the study of political subjectness of sub-ethnoses was devloped. A definition of "political subjectness of sub-ethnic group" was suggested. The concept, nature, conditions and factors of subjectness of sub-ethnic groups were developed. The preconditions of genesis and the formation of political subjectness of Rusyn sub-ethnic group in different historical periods was analyzed.
