Kuroyedova K. Optimization of orthodontic treatment for children in a period of mixed dentition.

In thesis was determined that the prevalence of malocclusion in 6-9 years old children of Poltava region reaches 81%. Orthodontic pathology in 6-9 years old children was complicated with speech pathology in 78.9%. Among patients with Class I malocclusion by Angle 41.2% have speech disorders, 91.04% - syhmatyzm. In 6-9 years old children Kerdo index showed the state of psychological stress on orthodontic reception, before admission and its downward trend thereafter. It was established that most of loss and breakage of orthodontic appliances falls between 6-12 months of orthodontic treatment, when comes fatigue time. There was developed and implemented a motivational author means "Diary of orthodontic patient" by which the number of visits to orthodontist of 6-9 years old children without loss and breakage of orthodontic devices doubled. To optimize the orthodontic treatment for children in a period of mixed dentition was proposed a fundamentally new device, and was proved that the use of the author's design during crowded front teeth of the lower jaw III-IV severity treatment in 6-9 years old patients after 3 months of treatment with statistically significant made a difference in the growth of the mandible in sagittal and transversal sizes (in 1.5 and 1.7 times).
