In this thesis identified the scientific basis and practical recommendations to improve the efficiency of the veterinary services and the prospects for its development to the competitive functioning of animal production farms and households. In particular, proved organizational and economic mechanism of veterinary care farms, methodical approaches to the assessment of the cost-effectiveness of the veterinary service, carried out an analysis of veterinary support processing and marketing of livestock products, Poltava region, an assessment of economic efficiency. The possibility and innovation resources of veterinary services, developed ways of improving the infrastructure of veterinary activities and directions and means of strengthening the institutional framework for the organization and implementation of the veterinary services of agricultural enterprises in the context of improving the functioning and competitiveness of the agricultural enterprises.
