Object - the management of financial and economic activity of the gas transportation system of Ukraine in the modernization. Goal - the management of financial and economic activity of the gas transportation system of Ukraine in the modernization. Methods - economic and system analysis, comparative analysis and generalizations, methods of economic-mathematical modeling, logical-dialectical, program-oriented approach, the expertise and analytical calculation, optimization and decision making, abstract-logical. Novelty - is the extending the concept of "financial strategy of Ukraine's GTS"; comprehensive methodological approach to diagnosing strategic financial capacity of Ukraine's GTS; were further developed: Theoretical Foundations of financial strategies by identifying the essential characteristics of the financial strategy GTS principles; theoretical and methodological foundations of diagnosing strategic financial capacity of Ukraine's GTS as stage development of financial strategy; mechanism of strategic financial decisions in terms of choosing the main financial strategy; The expediency of creation of off-budget trust fund investment and modernization of gas transportation system of Ukraine as the best way of ensuring the investment GTS; operation mechanism extrabudgetary trust fund investment and modernization of gas transportation system of Ukraine. Results - solving actual scientific and practical problems concerning development of financial strategy development of the gas transportation system of Ukraine.
