This thesis is aiming to improve diagnostic tools of malnourishment in children with paralytic syndromes by means of comprehensive study of actual enteral nutrition components, physical development, symbiotic digestion, micro-nutrient metabolism, bioenergetic cell state, and identification of the diagnostic and prognostic value of the nutritional status disorders markers. Data that influences negative sources of antenatal and perinatal periods was clarified. Quantitative distinctions of nutritional chain values in children with paralytic disorders were identified according to the presence of parental deprivation. Negative sources of malnourishment in children with or without parental deprivation were identified. As a result of a study malnourishment diagnostic and prognostic criteria were outlined. It includes level of Zn in the hair, skatole in faeces, urine lactate, urine levels of vitamins B1 and B6. In conclusion it is necessary to monitor the nutritional status in children with paralytic disorders and appropriately correct imbalances, aiming for early rehabilitation of children.
