The thesis is devoted to theoretical substantiation and development of proposals for economic development of agricultural enterprises in terms of transformation of property relations. Theoretical development of scientists about the nature of development, growth, economic growth and enterprises functioning are generalized. The differences from the economic development of the enterprise are proved and its own interpretation of this definition is offered. The methodological principles of evaluation of the economic development level of agricultural enterprises are analyzed and logical-conceptual scheme of its implementation is proposes. The state and tendencies of economic development of agricultural enterprises of Vinnitsa region in terms of organizational and legal forms of business are analyzed, their potential opportunities and reserves for achieving sustainable and balanced development for the future are defined. Forecasting of economic processes effectiveness for the purpose of economic development of agricultural enterprises considering efficiency of their functioning in terms of transformation of property relations is carried out. The process of forming of the hierarchy of economic development strategies based on activation of enterprises production is outlined, and, depending on their strategic position (aggressive, competitive, conservative, defensive) a possible choice of strategy of economic development in the future is offered.
