In this paper, systematic classification of investments as signs of economic categories is done. The sources of financing investment processes in agriculture are generalized. The comparative characteristic of the basic methods for determining the economic efficiency of investments that can be used when investing farms.The modern methods of state regulation of investment processes and financial and investment policy of Ukraine. The features of sources of investment in agricultural enterprises aimed at the solution of financial problems considering branch specificity of agriculture. The directions of increasing economic efficiency of investment resources investment in agricultural enterprises. It is proved that the economic justification of investment projects should take into account the sectoral specificity of enterprises and evaluate their implementation throughout all stages of the project life cycle, its impact on production and business activities, financial situation and performance.
