The dissertation on scientific degree competition of can-didate of technical Sciences, specialty 05.07.14 - Aerospace simulators. National Aviation University, Kyiv, 2015. The thesis is devoted to improving the effective-ness of helicopters' pilots training in the simulator by creating an automated man-agement system for mastering the helicopters' driving on the basis of special knowledge base, allowing to automate the process of mastering the helicopters' driving. Based on the results of the analysis it is shown that for the knowledge base formalization of automated process of mastering the helicopters' driving it is nec-essary to present knowledge mainly in the form of network frames. The formation of the training operations is carried out on the basis of their models. Types gener-ated by training operations are allocated based on the ratio of fixed and alternating components in their models. In the work the necessity of optimization of the train-ing development system on the simulator is grounded. The most important factors influencing the development of one skill are as follows: the coefficients of the influence degree of the human factor (factors of significance), the level of devel-opment of the previous skills that underpin considered, speed of mastering the skill. The algorithm for determining the time of training for each skill is created.
