Essay

The dissertation is devoted to development of the galvanic electrochemical gas sensor for determining the hydrogen sulfide in the air of environmentally hazardous production. Investigated electrochemical behavior of porous titanium and catalytically active electrodes based on it in solutions of perchloric and phosphoric acids. Created the electrochemical generator of the mixture of hydrogen sulfide and air. Created catalytically active gas diffusion electrodes based on the titanium, which stable under conditions of reduction of the atmospheric oxygen and oxidation of the hydrogen sulfide in the system with matrix electrolyte based on perchloric acid. For the first time theoretically grounded and practically implemented an galvanic hydrogen sulfide sensor. Its action is based on the compensation of reduction of the stoichiometry of pyrolytic manganese dioxide at the working electrode. This is due to the interaction between the working electrode and the determinating gas by reduction of the manganese dioxide at the counter electrode. Developed sensors correspond to existing analogues in the world market according to the measured concentration range, resolution, response time, stability over time and a lifetime, and the selectivity prevail. For the first time developed and manufactured electrochemical module consisting of the electrochemical sensor and the source of hydrogen sulfide. Created devices implemented in the production of gas analyzers for determining to monitor air of the working area plants and settlements.
