Research is devoted to studying of typological semantic properties of a theme of Don Juan as interspecific art phenomenon, proves value of a theme and image of Don Juan as semantic paradigm of musical art of the XVIII-XX centuries in the context of actual tendencies of musical and performing interpretation. Historical evolution of a theme of Don Juan as process and result of special esthetic interaction of verbal and musical art forms comes to light. The general art logic of an embodiment of a theme of Don Juan in art is characterized.
