Investigated the existing theoretical and methodological approaches to the definition of product marketing irrational demand, postulates socio-economic concept of marketing to market such products and counter-marketing to reduce or eliminate the irrational demand. The necessity of application of the mechanism of formation of product marketing irrational demand. The processes of production, sales and consumption of goods irrational demand - alcoholic beverages and tobacco products in Ukraine, as well as existing in Ukraine and the world of marketing actions to counteract relatively reduce irrational demand for these products.
