Essay

The thesis is devoted to the actual problem of modern Parasitology - optimize diagnosis and treatment of Tropical malaria in peacekeepers that are in dangerous epidemic world regions. It was established that the Ukrainian peacekeeping who were in Liberia (West Africa) dominated the first detected cases of severe medium tropical malaris. The incidence of malaria among this population reaches 20%. Almost one-third of cases occurred after himioprophiilaxis. At the onset of the TM disease is characterized by non-specific general clinical manifestations and laboratory parameters disabilities. It was found, that in 1.8% of patients parasitological study thick drop of blood has not revealed parasitemia. The expediency of introducing rapid immunoassay antigen test for determining R. falciparum, which is sensitivity 86.6%, specificity - 89.9%. It was found that in patients with TM revealed significantly increased content of pro-inflammatory cytokines (IL-1?, TNF-?) and to a lesser extent anti-inflammatory cytokine IL-4 with the presence of an imbalance of proinflammatory and anti-inflammatory cytokines. Proved the feasibility of artemizynin-combination therapy, the use of which helped to reduce the frequency of complications of TM and reduced length hospitalization.
