Essay

Brassinosteroids, phospholipases, calcium, salt stress, regulation of metabolism. Investigation of regulatory mechanisms of plant cell metabolism in response to brassinosteroids in normal and stress conditions. Thin layer chromatography, high performance liquid chromatography, immunoenzyme analysis, biochemical analysis, polarography, microscopy. Activation of non-specific phospholipases C and diacylglycerol kinases in response to brassinosteroids was established, stabilization of fatty acid content, regulation of alternative respiration, modulation of gravitropism and stomatal dynamics by brassinosteroids were shown, role of calcium in antioxidant enzyme regulation by brassinosteroids was determined, activation of phospholipase D and antioxidant enzymes in response to salt stress and also accumulation of brassinosteroids upon cold stress were established. Area of application - bioorganic chemistry, biochemistry, agricultural industry
