Essay

The object of research is the process of separation of sunflower seeds in a vertical air channel with the lower discharge. The purpose of the work is to improve the technology and energy efficiency of the separation process of sunflower seeds by developing new design air gravity separator and the validity of its design and technological parameters. In the simulation of the process of separation were used methods of differential and integral calculus. Experimental studies are analyzed using the methods of mathematical statistics and planning multifactor experiment. The practical significance of the results is to develop a design air gravity separator of sunflower seeds on the difference of their aerodynamic characteristics of a non-uniform air speed adjustment. The scientific novelty of the study is that for the first time justified the use of variable speed adjustment of the airflow in the axial (circular) channel and the dependence of its change in height. The experimental sample developed separator has been tested in a production environment. The developed technique allows performing calculations and producing designs air gravity separator specified performance.
