Essay

The object of research is the process of formation damage the operation of railway wheels of different levels of strength. The aim is to improve the technology of Solid-rolled railway wheels to prevent surface damage bearings. The internal structure of the metal wheels investigated using the methods of light microscopy, X-ray structural analysis, ultrasound. Mechanical properties of steels were determined using standard methods under static and cyclic loadings under conditions of contact friction. In processing the results of experimental studies used the methods of statistics and probability theory. The results of the studies determined that the continuous increase of heterogeneity of cyclical changes defamation stages of formation extrusion and intrusions on the surface of the railway rolling wheels leads to destruction of the metal centers of origin.
