The dissertation offers an integrated historical and legal research of inheritance law in Ukraine during the Soviet period. The author defines the stages of elaboration of the problem, methodological and theoretical basis of the study; formulates the definition of 'Soviet inheritance law'; analyses the process of the development of inheritance law in Ukraine in 1917-1921 and its evolution in the following Soviet and post-Soviet periods (1921-2003).
