The thesis is devoted to solving a standing medical and social problem - increasing the efficacy of asthma treatment and prognosis optimization in overweight children by determining clinical and pathogenic features and development of individual rehabilitation algorithms.The study shows that overweight had a negative effect on the severity of asthma as well as frequency and duration of exacerbations. The main causes of asthma course worsening in overweight children were described, which allows forming risk groups in outpatients. It has been determined that asthma and excessive body weight lead to an increase in lipid peroxidation figures and proinflammatory cytokines as well as a decrease in antioxidant protection levels. For the first time features of physical activity in overweight children with asthma have been evaluated with the help of pedometers and guidelines regarding dosed controlled physical exercise in accordance with asthma control level have been developed. On the basis of the obtained data it was developed a complex rehabilitation scheme for overweight children with asthma, its therapeutic efficacy was demonstrated.
