The thesis is dedicated to increasing the effectiveness of preventative measures of the side effects of cytostatic therapy in the oral cavity in breast cancer patients. Based on clinical and laboratory studies it was determined that adjuvant cycles of CTx in breast cancer patients significantly affect the condition of the organs of the oral cavity. The biochemical markers results of oral fluid show a decrease of bactericidal characteristics of oral fluid, an increase of bacterial dissemination and a development of oxidative stress mainly due to the inhibition of antioxidant activity as a result of previously conducted surgery and radiation therapy. The complex of treatment and preventive measures was developed to reduce the manifestation levels of dental toxicity during CTx in these patients. It was proved that the application of the developed complex as a supporting therapy in these patients facilitated the significant decrease of dental toxicity, which in turn allowed normalizing the levels of urease, lysozyme, elastase, catalase and dysbiosis in the oral cavity in breast cancer patients still during chemotherapy, indicating its efficiency.
