On the basis of general provisions on state control, analysis of the oil and gas sector as an object of state control is a definition of "state control in the oil and gas sector of Ukraine". Found out the principles, forms and methods of control in the oil and gas sector; the essence and characteristics of the powers of control in the oil and gas sector. Defined causes disturbances in the oil and gas sector; singled supervisory powers of public authorities to combat violations in the oil and gas sector. The basic directions of coordination among government bodies in the exercise of control in the oil and gas sector.
