In this dissertation semes as the meaning constituents of banking terms that function in financial and economic discourse have been analyzed. Research results reveal prospects for further study of English banking terminology from the standpoint of conceptual and functional approaches. The compiling principles of explanatory terminological dictionaries, used for the formation of the English-Ukrainian vocabulary of banking terminology.
