The paper formulates the research methodology of the legal consequences of the expiry of term for imposition of an administrative penalty, the main approaches to determine their nature and value, place in the system of time limits of administrative responsibility. The causes of omission of deadlines of imposition of administrative penalties are systematized and classified, their value is disclosed.
