Kolodchin V. Powers of the prosecutor at the trial court.

The thesis investigates theoretical and practical aspects of normative regulation of the prosecutor's powers in the proceedings at first instance. It characterized approaches to understanding the legal status of the prosecutor in a criminal trial, set conditionality features of status of the prosecutor, using specificity stages of criminal proceedings. It also analyzed international standards of the prosecutor in criminal proceedings and revealed the level of their implementation in the current criminal procedural legislation of Ukraine. Finally, it revealed defects in regulation of prosecutor's procedural powers (described in the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine) in the proceedings at first instance within the common and differentiated forms of criminal justice. The ways to remove these defects were suggested.
