Essay

Dissertation is devoted to the macro-, micro- and submicroscopic structure of the typical mitral valve chordae tendineae and peculiarities of the structural organization of the left ventricle false chordae tendineae of the human heart. The results of investigations have demonstrated that the false chordae tendineae have different positions in the cavity of the left ventricle. Depending on the places of attachment the transverse, diagonal and longitudinal false chordae tendineae have been found. On the base of a complex of morphological studies the false chordae tendineae by histological structure have been divided into the fibrous, fibro-muscular and muscular types.
