Essay

It was established that development of phytotoxic action of herbicides inhibitors ACC and ALS accompanied by degradation of DNA to mono- and oligonucleosomes and by increase of the ratio of activity of Ca2+, Mg2+-dependent to Zn2+-dependent nucleases. It was shown, that previous incubation with inhibitor of caspase-1 increases cell survival under the action of herbicide ALS inhibitor. The presence of these signs of destructive and effector phases of programmed cell death (PCD) allows to conclude that this process is involved in the pathogenesis induced by herbicides inhibitors of ACC and ALS.
