Orendarets О. Development of Environmental Law Science

The thesis is a comprehensive study of relevant doctrinal problems related to the emergence and development of environmental law science. The study results made it possible to define the notion of environmental law science as well as its subject and object, and describe the specific features pertaining to its functions, methods and system. The paper analyzes the level of scientific development of the studied problems and theoretical achievements of environmental law science, as well as the historical and legal preconditions and stages of emergence and development of environmental law science in Ukraine. Scientific and theoretical approaches to the "scientific school" notion are studied, and the specific features and typical characteristics of the scientific environmental law schools in Ukraine are explored. The notion of environmental and legal research is defined, and the research forms are analyzed.
