Essay

Grounding on the analysis of the Ukrainian philosophy of the second part of the XIX – beginning of the XX century the author found out that «heart» is understood by Ukrainian philosophers as the existential basis of the spirit, as the mental focus that can «be fed» with the spirit, perceive spiritual and this way preserves it and causes its implementing into human relations with each other and with the world. Cordocentrismus is also treated as a worldview and methodologicalprinciple.
