Essay

The research is devoted to the investigation of photovoltaic properties of polymer composites containing polymethine dyes. The regularities linking the photovoltaic properties of polymer matrix type and structure of polymethine dyes have been established. For the first time the effect of the key structural factors of polymethine dyes – the structure of the terminal groups, polymethine chain length, nature of counterion and ion character of chromophore on photovoltaic properties of polymer composites containing such dyes have been systematically studied.
